2020 Schedule
Open Track Times
Open track times are Wednesday evenings before most races from 6 to 8pm. In case of rain, the open track times will be held on Thursday before these races.

Wednesday, August 12th, 6-8pm
Wednesday, October 14th, 6-8pm
Come catch the "Thrill of the Hill.' We will have soap box derby cars available for any boy or girl age 7 to 21 to try out. New drivers never start out from the top of the hill. We take them part way down the hill and let them coast to the bottom. If we feel they can handle it, we gradually let them start out higher and higher on the hill until they are ready to start from the top. Drivers who can drive successfully from the top of the hill will be issued an Official KCSBD Driver's License.
April 18 & 19 (Saturday & Sunday) - All-American Spring Rally
All-American races are open to drivers ages 7-18. We will hold one double elimination and one single elimination race on Saturday in addition to one double elimination and one single elimination race on Sunday, weather permitting.
Race fee options:

$35 per double elimination race and $25 for single elimination race

$100 per 4 race weekend - discount only applies if you will be racing all 4 races
April 25 & 26 (Saturday & Sunday) - AA Rally in Osawatomie, KS
This will be a street race down Main Street in Osawatomie, KS.
Race fees TBA.
May 9 (Saturday) - AA Rally
All-American races are open to drivers ages 7-18. We will hold one double elimination and one single elimination race on Saturday in addition to one double elimination and one single elimination race on Sunday, weather permitting.
Race fees: $35 per double elimination race and $25 for single elimination race.
June 13 (Saturday) All-American Local Race
To race in the Local your car needs to be inspected. Inspection dates TBD
If you can't make it, please contact Steve Yonker @ 816-807-1016 to arrange an alternate time.
The winner in each division of this race will go on to represent Kansas City in the All-American Championship Race in Akron, OH in July 2018! This will be a double elimination race.

June 13 (Saturday) - All-American Local Awards Banquet
Location and time TBD. There will be trophies, prizes and goodies for all race participants!

Board Meetings
We welcome anyone interested in taking part in the decision-making process for our KC Soap Box Derby organization. Board meetings take place at the home of Tim Roth, 637 W Dartmouth, KCMO 64113. Upcoming meeting dates:
